Service Rating : They were prompt with getting my mattress topper on the road which I was very grateful for as I was suffering with back pain. Since having my mattress topper my back pain has decreased considerably. I also sent an email after receiving my mattress topper asking if it would ok if I could use a mattress protector for protection.
They responded very quickly with yes.

Product : First couple of nights with the memory foam topper we’re great on the body, but after that myself and my partner both spent hours each night tossing and turning not being able to fall asleep.
Since taking it back off we have been falling asleep very easily.
So it’s not for us
Unfortunate that there is no returns on this product as we are now not using it whatsoever

I am thinking of getting a mattress topper to put on top of our futon. I am worried though about the breathability of your product. We are used to sleeping on cotton. Is the foam covered?

The memory mattress toppers are often used for futons as well as conventional beds. It will not breathe as much as conventional foams but the open cell structure of memory foam will draw in new air after compression so it will not get stale air flow. Hi, I suffer with severe lower back/lumbar pain every morning when I wake up, and I often wake during the night with it and have to keep turning to find a pain free and comfortable position. We've only in the last year bought a new mattress but have found that it's not suitable for me. I'm interested in a mattress topper, but I have a custom size bed, 220cm long by 185cm wide. Would you be able to make to measure?

Hi Nicholas. Our king size is 180cm x 200cm so could simply add the 20cm to the end of the product. I don't believe the 2.5cm on each side would be noticeable so would leave the width as is if that is all right with you. Will make it much easier to just add 20cm to the bottom of the product. No, it doesn't need it. You just place it under your bottom sheet, and it stays in place.

They are certified Gecca approved and meet all the world best practice environmental standards. The best thing about our foams is they use Carbon Dioxide as the blowing agent (which gives the foam its volume) and we are one of the very few mattress overlays who use this method. I have developed a sore lower back from sedentary work. I am thinking of changing my mattress, do you know which ones are best please?

Hi Tracy, There are a heap of mattresses out there which all have different claims. Some with credibility and some without. From the feedback i receive and my own personal experiences the biggest risk is purchasing something to soft. It is very easy to soften a bed with an overlay but extremely difficult to firm up a mattress if too soft. As such i recommend a base model mattress from a reputable producer. There is no need to spend any more than $500-$1000 on a mattress and base ensemble and then you can get an overlay to suit your comfort needs. Is this topper suitable for a click/clack sofa bed?

The topper would be fantastic for the click clack sofa bed but would not recommend folding it up with the bed as over time the folds might start to damage in the product. This could be a problem with all memory foam overlays. If you are keeping stored seperately and just rolling out then it will be fantastic. If you are after a product to be folded into the sofa then i would be more inclined to use the high density body hugger overlay.

Why do you only have one thickness memory foam topper (5cm) when other vary between 4cm and 4 inches?

Very good question. The reason we do all of our toppers in 5cm depth is that we believe that is deep enough to give a true feeling of latex or memory memory foam but is not too thick so as to lose support (and also keep the product affordable). We have looked at thicker overlays (up to 12cm) but we honestly do not believe the benefit is there. So long as the mattress underneath is flat and supportive (has not lost its shape) then the overlays at 5cm thickness should do their job beautifully. Hello, If I am about to buy the memory foam mattress topper, should I also purchase the 'naturelle eucalyptus fibre mattress protector'? Does that protector fit over the mattress as well as the topper?

I normally always recommend the mattress protector with all overlay and pillow purchases. It is definitely the best way to keep your mattress/pillow clean and hygenic and the mattress protectors will fit over both the mattress and the topper. They are easy to clean and are a fitted sheet style of product. Very comfortable and very effective in their role.

Can I get a custom size Memory Foam Mattress Topper?

No. They come in the four sizes single, double, queen and king, and are a few centimetres shorter on both sides to allow for your fitted sheet.

What is the difference between a mattress topper, mattress overlay and mattress pad?

The terms mattress topper, mattress overlay and mattress pad are often thought to mean the same thing. The terms mattress topper or mattress overlay refer to something that enhances the comfort level of the mattress by adding an extra soft layer, pad, or overlay on top of an existing, and possibly too hard mattress.The term mattress pad can refer to both a mattress topper, and to a thinner pad made out of cotton or polyester which is put on top of a mattress to protect it. These mattress pads are also known as mattress protectors.

Memory foam mattress toppers or natural latex or convoluted egg foam ... which one should I buy?

Memory foam is a viscous elastic compound that has a similar feel to that of traditional foam, but its temperature-sensitive properties allow your body to mould into it. So it tends to provide very even body support, and cushions the high load areas such as the shoulders and the hips. Memory foam reacts to body heat, and softens where it is in contact with your body. The memory foam density we use for our memory foam mattress toppers is of medium density. It is 'firmish' when you lie on it, but softens within 30 or so seconds when the body's warmth comes into contact with it. It is not everyone's 'cup of tea' due to the initial firmness, but one tends to quickly get used to it and you will be well aware of the even support it provides your body once you settle into it If your bedroom is not heated during the winter, then you will also be well aware of the initial firmness, but as said this will change when you lie on it.Natural latex mattress toppers are softer than memory foam, and contain wonderful cushioning properties as well as excellent ongoing product longevity. Natural latex from the rubber tree is comprised of millions of interconnected cells, and this acts to mould and distribute body pressures. Latex is expensive to collect and produce, and that is why it is priced considerably higher. Our latex comes from the rubber trees of Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand. Our Naturelle latex topper also comes in its own quality zippered cover, which is another reason why it will cost you more. To put it in context, our latex toppers have a 'luxurious' feel to them and if your mattress is too hard or too soft, this topper will help to neutralise that problem.Convoluted egg foam traditional foam mattress topper: We use a high quality traditional foam that will not collapse under the body's weight (unlike those thinner and cheap versions found in department and bedding stores that will quickly collapse under the body's load areas, leaving you without support where it's needed!). The peaks and troughs of the Body Huggar act to spread the pressure, and you will not feel these peaks once your body settles in and load areas are diffused. Body Huggar convoluted foam topper is a smart alternative to the natural latex and memory foam costs a lot less. May not have that luxurious feel of latex, or that unusual feeling of the body moulding to memory foam, but you will be pleasantly surprised at the results.

Can I just buy an overlay or do I have to buy a new mattress?

The answer depends on the condition of your current bed. If your current mattress is basically ok - supportive, no dips, etc - but just too firm, causing pressure points, or just not as luxurious as you would like, than a mattress topper or mattress overlay will make it more comfortable. But if your mattress is old with compressed areas, or is just uncomfortable, then you probably need a new mattress. (Although an overlay could help you put the purchase off for a while).If you decide to buy a new mattress, then stay away from the pillow top styles. Buy a basic medium-range mattress and then add your own Body Huggar, Memory Foam Mattress Topper or Magnetic Mattress overlay as a pillow top. Then after a number of years, you can replace the overlay rather than having to get a new mattress. You will save a fortune by not paying too much initially for an expensive mattress, and you'll sleep a lot better!

Should I be sleeping on a soft or hard mattress?

A soft mattress can cause joint and back pain as the body sinks into the mattress making the spine adopt an unnatural position. An unforgiving hard mattress can also create pain as the body lies on top twisting the spine and putting pressure on the hips and shoulders. The mattress should give way a little under the pressure from the shoulders, hips, and pelvis so that the spine is kept in its natural state. The best solution therefore is a mattress that will contour to your shape, allowing your hips and shoulders to sink in comfortably. This combination can easily be obtained using a medium to firm mattress to support your body AND an overlay such as the Body Huggar mattress overlay or the Memory Mattress Topper would be ideal.

What kinds of Mattress Toppers are there?

Most mattress toppers are made from either memory foam, traditional foam, natural latex or wool.Memory Foam mattress overlaysThese toppers are made from polyurethane, with a different cell structure from traditional foam. This cell structure makes it less 'springy' and slower to recover (hence 'memory foam' it 'remembers' your shape for a while after you've moved).Sensitive to weight and temperature, it moulds to your body's form, supporting it evenly, rather than having pressure concentrate at the shoulders, hips and feet. They're used in some hospitals and nursing homes to help prevent pressure ulcers caused by lying in one position for a long time.It takes about 15 minutes for the foam to fully warm up and soften, so what feels pleasantly firm at first (or unpleasantly hard) may not stay that way for long.Traditional foam mattress overlaysThe resilience of our Traditional Foam Toppers provides luxurious comfort and plush support.Natural Latex overlaysLatex comes from the rubber tree, and is naturally durable and resilient. Another advantage is that it is naturally hypoallergenic. It has only one drawback - cost. A good quality latex topper can cost as much as a cheap mattress.It is also important to keep in mind that by it's nature, latex can have various cosmetic imperfections, small tears, and/or discolorations, none of which will affect its performance.Woolen overlaysInitially sleeping on a wool mattress pads is like sleeping on a big sheep skin, soft comfortable and with all the advantages of wool. Unfortunately over time they tend to matt down, becoming flat and offering little in the way of softness.

Do you make mattress or mattress overlays that help diffuse pressure to the body and therefore help circulation?

Yes, we do. Body Huggar in a convoluted (eggcrate) foam is a fantastic product that spreads the pressure during sleep. No 'hard spots'! It also features a lumbar column which supports the lumbar and waist cavity during sleep, and as such encourages the natural curvature of the spine during sleep.A more expensive alternative to Body Huggar is the Memory Mattress Topper ("feeling is believing") which does much the same thing as Body Huggar but which has a different 'feel' to the body.Both these products are 5cm thick and fit snugly under your bottom sheet. Either one will avoid the need for you to purchase a new mattress!

Can I avoid buying a new mattress if I get a Memory Foam Mattress Topper?

That's right, our belief is that you won't need to now replace your sagging (or too hard) mattress.And on that issue, if you were thinking about a new Memory Foam mattress at great expense, then don't ... purchase three of four of our mattress toppers, put one on top of the other, and you've got yourself a new Memory mattress for a third of the price of the full Memory mattress you'll buy at the retail stores. Can you please confirm the width of the queen size memory foam topper? 148.4 cm is narrower than the standard width of a queen size bed. Cheers

Sorry but there was a typo on the website and the queen is actually 150cm (not 148.4cm) wide which is the normal size for a queen mattress in Australia. When the product is first unwrapped it will be a touch on the smaller size but will expand to full size within 24 hours. Warm regards, Brett.

Hi Steve, The memory foam overlay has a three year manufacturers warranty and normally it is probably 5 plus years before any noticeable softening occurs and you would begin to think about replacement i would guess. It just comes in a stockingette cover but a 70% cotton, 30% polyester cover can be purchased seperately for $40 for single, $50 for double, $60 for Queen and $70 for a king. We recommend using a protector of some sort for all overlays to help keep them clean and in good condition. Freight can all be calculted using the online calculator.

Which brand of fitted sheet will fit best over the memory-foam topper? My existing mattress is already quite high with a "comfort top". Vue brand sheets fit over that well, but wondering if the extra 5cm will make it really difficult to get a fitted sheet over it?

I am really sorry but i am not sure on answer for this. I know our mattress protectors have plenty of stretch but i would probably just recommend contacting a few sheet companies and finding out the maximum size that their sheets will cover with regards to height. Do I place the topper underneath my mattress pad?

It really depends on the mattress pad you are using. Normally people just use the memory foam topper without anything on top but many use a protector or sheep skin on top also.

Is your overlay equivalent to 5lb density foam?

We use 4lb density for our overlays. We find that it has the right mix of support, comfort, product longevity, and pressure diffusion.The density (poundage) does not reflect product life or support at all. In fact we used to use a 5lb density foam, but it broke down under body load fairly quickly and was too firm in the cooler months. It all depends on the structure and chemicals used for a particular application of visco elastic memory foam. The one that we are now using does the job beautifully, and we have been using this formula now for over three years and haven't had one back yet, and we have produced and sold more than a few thousand.Let's know if you need to discuss this further with us. But please remember that poundage has nothing to do with comfort, support, and product longevity. Tear strength is the key, and heavier poundages will often break down must faster. That's what we found a few years back.

I just received the memory form topper, however, it has a strong odor. I tried to unpack it and leave it on my spare bed sheet for a few hours, but the strong smell is still there. Also, the memory form topper has so many small irregular holes.

The smell is a main characteristic of all memory foam products and should fully dissipate after being aired. The holes throughout the foam are not a result of the product faulting and are completely normal. We find these across our memory foam pillows as well.

How does a thin mattress topper compensate sagging mattress? How come it doesn't just sag also?

As this product is designed to add extra support, it will fill the space that has sagged in your actual mattress. Most customers will use this topper to increase the lifespan of their mattress as well as add support.

Hi Big Sister.There can be an initial odour whhen first using the product as it has been wrapped in the plastic for a period of time and can sweat a little bit particularly during the summer months. Some air it but most i believe just use straight out of the packaging . I would recommend a mattress protector for keeping the product clean. If concerned about heat i would perhaps recommend the body huggar overlay which being a traditional foam style overlay will breathe better than the memory foam overlays. The memory foam is very comfortable but because it compresses to the shape of your body but as you do mould into it there is more contact with your skin which can cause you to feel marginally warmer than on other products.
